The purpose of the dental screening program is to identify and help children in need of urgent dental care and to assist families in accessing dental treatment. Historically, the Oral Health Division screens approximately 28,000 children and identifies approximately 1,500 children as requiring urgent care.  

This year, the Oral Health Division is dedicated to offer the dental screening program to as many children as possible within our capacity.

As such, it is our goal to provide dental screening to all students in JK, SK, grades 2, 4, 6, 7 and special education classes in all schools.
